You appear to have been misinformed.

In I.E., click on Tools => Internet Options....
Click the Advanced button
In the Browsing section, remove the checkmarks
in the 2 scripting options (#4 and #5).

Start> Settings> Control Panel> Internet Options> Advanced tab:
Add a check-mark in the box for "Disable script debugging"
Remove the check-mark from the box for "Display a notification about every script error"
Click OK.

That should take care of the script errors you allude to in your subject line.
