Hello,
I am trying to make an Emergency Repair Disk (ERD)for my
Windows 98 computer. I couldn't find how to do this under
Help. I did see some information about creating a Startup
Disk.
Is a Startup Disk the same thing as an Emergency Repair
Disk? Is the WIN98 Startup Disk like the WIN2000 ERD?
Thank you for your help,
Millie

Guess the question is what do you expect to be able to do with it /

Windows 98 does not support an ERD, only an Emergency Boot Diskette that can
start the system in DOS and perform some simple repair or diagnostic tasks.

Go to the Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs. On this
window, top right tab to create the floppy. Just follow
instruction. Yes, it is a STARTUP disk.

No, it certainly is not the same thing.
