WHEN I USE SCAN DISC IT RUNS A LONG TIME.
I AM TOLD THAT I HAVE A PROGRAM THAT IS NOT CLOSED.
HOW DO I FIND THIS PROGRAM TO CLOSE IT?

You can press ctr-alt-delete at the same time to see the
list of programs. Select one and hit "end task". End task
on all EXCEPT explorer and systray--leave those 2 running.
Be sure to disable your screen saver too.
Alternately, you can run it in safe mode. Press f8 at boot
and select safe mode from the list.
