My computer crashed, when I tried to reformat C: it does
not find it. Can anyone help with this problem.

Thank you,
Mark

Use fdisk to create a fresh partition, then try formatting.

I would say that your computer crashed because the hard disk failed, and
that's why the system can no longer find it.

You could download disk drive diagnostics from the www site of the drive
manufacturer and get a more detailed report on exactly what is wrong with
the drive.  It could be anything from a loose connection to a dead drive.
