Get another CD, or check your hard drive for the Windows Setup (CAB) files.
No other way around it.

Some people think broadband is hard to setup etc. NOT. Was rather simple
in my case. Just setup TC/IP no other protocol, no constant ip. Setup IE
to find internet via LAN. It found it. Only thing I had to know was my
email access and emial password. Using Cox in States.
Later, added router, and a NAT server.
Can understand your association with "missing disc" and newsgroup name.
Gave me a chuckle. Think they meant hard disk (hard drive), floppy disk
etc. in the newsgroup name.

... and how is he going to do this if he doesn't have the Windows 98 CD to
install the networking files he needs?
