When I left click on My Computer and then left click on
the "C" drive it does not open the drive but displays the
opening window to install Norton System Works. This happen
after I reinstall Norton System Works 2003. Norton answer
is that Norton made an error in the installing of it and I
should remove it and reinstall it again.  I have
uninstalled Norton several time by doing the steps they
recommend to manual uninstall and also using the delete
programs system. I cannot get rid of that problem.

Look for a file in the root directory of the C drive called autorun.inf and
if you find it there then delete it.

I can not open the C drive so I used find and located 4
files with the name autorun.inf and deleted them. It did
not solve the problem. I don't know what the root
directory is or how to get to it.

To open the C drive right-click the drive icon in My Computer and select
Explore. If you do it from a DOS command window, the command is :

Del C:\Autorun.INF
