I have a 32mb USB removeable disk, but it is not
recognised when I plug it into my computer running w98.  I
think I need a driver for it, but I do not know where to
find it.  Can anyone help me please?

Hi,

To fix this problem, I recommend you reinstall USB Port.
To reinstall the USB port, you have to first uninstall the USB port and then
reinstall it.  Perform these steps to uninstall the USB port:

1.  Save and close all programs that are currently running.
2.  Click Start, select Shut Down, and choose Restart the computer.
3.  Press the F8 function key or the Ctrl key when the red Compaq logo
appears.  This will display the Windows Startup menu.
4.  Select option 3 to load Windows in Safe mode.
5.  After Windows loads in Safe mode, right-click the My Computer icon
   and select Properties.
6.  Select the Device Manager tab and double-click the Universal Serial
   Bus controllers.
7.  Select a device listed under Universal Serial Bus controller and
   click the Remove button.
8.  Click Yes to confirm the removal of the device.

NOTE:  Repeat steps 7 and 8 until all the devices under Universal
           Serial Bus controller are removed.

9.  Click OK.

The USB port is now uninstalled.

Now, restart the system.  The system will automatically detect and reinstall
the USB port.

If problem persists, I recommend you contact the manufacture to obtain the
compatible driver.

You'll need to find out who made the flash drive and get the drivers from
their Web site.  If no Windows 98 drivers are available then the device
won't work no matter what else you do or try.
