CD-Rom and CD-Rewriter drives are not working.  Can someone help me?

They worked just fine yesterday... I didn't know what
happened, but I plugged in the USB 2.0 Storage today and
it appeared to be drive D and E, then after that there was
a message saying that drive D and E were not working
correctly.  After I restarted the computer, I looked into
My Computer, and drive D and E were gone!  I checked the  
Device Manager and found out that the Primary IDE
Controller and Secondary IDE Controller were not working
properly.  Unfortunately, I didn't keep the softwares for
those CD-Rom and CD-Rewriter so that I could install the
drivers back in.  What should I do now?  Can someone give
me a suggestion?

If all you need is the drivers,go to
http://www.driverguide.com .They have drivers for all
kinds of hardware.They are free of charge.
