Am running windows 98 and am trying to install xp, insert
the disk everything works fine the computer resets as it
says its going to. The computer reboots giving you the
choice of windows or windows xp setup. It automatically
starts the xp setup and an error message comes up saying
that the C: is corrupt. I have done scaned the c: with
scandisk and it states there are no errors bad clusters or
anything. Any clues please.

Some systems (especially Dell) require you disable the hard drive as a boot
device in the BIOS before you run XP's setup.
Might be worth a try.

Hi Mark,
You should be asking this on one of the WinXP newsgroups.
They have much more knowledge in this area.
