hello i have a windows 98 disk that the product id number
was lost now i need it is there any help getting one if

Hi,

If you have purchased the Operating system from OEM for example: Compaq,
IBM,etc. you need to contact them. However, if you have purchased retail
copy of Windows, you need to contact microsoft.

If the product was a retail version please call microsoft at
1-800-642-7670.
Have your disk available when calling

Microsoft cannot issue the product key for am oem disk.

found my Product Key Number in less then a minute : )
