I have a Windows 98 SE system. A serious problem with my
one of my Hard Disc partitions caused the partition to
be "Hidden".(I donno how that happened ).Partition Magic
has a feature to Undo this and make it "Visible" again but
unfortunately it won't work cos it was installed on the
drive that is Hidden.

Is there a feature in Windows 98 SE which can help me undo
the cahnge?

Thanx.

Did you create a rescue disk when you installed Partition Magic? If so, you can
use that. If not, take that Partition Magic CD to another PC and create a
rescue disk.

If you know your way around the partition table, the easiest way is to run
ptedit32.exe (find it on your PM CD).  Ptedit allows you to directly edit
the partition-type byte in the partition table and change the partition from
"hidden-FAT32" to ordinary "FAT32".

If ptedit makes you uneasy, run pqmagic from your PM rescue floppies.  If
you didn't make rescue floppies, find the following files on the PM CD
(probably in the \english\dosmake\disk2 folder) and copy to a floppy:
pqmagic.exe
pqmagic.ovl
pqmagic.pqg
pqpb.rtc
pmhelp.dat
mouse.com

Then boot from an ordinary Win98 boot floppy (aka, "Startup Disk"), switch
to your PM floppy and run pqmagic.exe.

you should be able to just boot with your win98 floppy
then run fdisk and set the hidden partition as active
