widows 98 doesn't start

whenever i start up my computer it comes up with C:/>
i dont know what to type in to start up windows.

type and enter :   win

if windows does not start...post back with the exact error message

At the C: prompt, type:  CD Windows             and hit the enter key.  At
the Windows prompt, type:  Win              and hit the enter key.  After
the PC boots, ensure the msdos.sys file contains the line:  BootGUI=1
