When I goto Start Run and goto MSCONFIG.. goto the start
up option I have a ton of items that have been uninstalled
and removed from my pc but they are still showing up in
that box even though they are not booting.
how can I clear those out.

It is not a good idea to include your e-mail address in a newsgroup post as
it will be harvested by spammers and viruses.

Items listed by MSConfig can be found in the registry at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices
and in the startup folder
C:\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup.

Thanks for the advice with the email.  However I did try
the regedit going to those 2 placed you suggested but they
do not show up there at all.
I have thing like Weatheraloud. Incredimail, Cnet, MSNMSGR
Yahoo!Pager.
All of these I have deleted and remove but still show up.
Any more suggestions ?

If you are trying to remove unchecked items, first start regedit
and expand the following keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Beneath each key, you may find a similar key followed by a hyphen(Run-, RunServices-).
This is where some of the disabled programs are stored.  You can delete individual
programs or the entire key.  Next, check
"C:\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Disabled Startup Items" and move or delete any
unwanted items.  Finally, open "C:\Windows\Win.ini" and check the "[windows]" section
for "norun=" and "noload=".
