Computer does not recognize hard drive.  No new software
or installations. What could be the problem.

You may have a virus or the hard drive may have crashed.

Toni, that's really not nearly enough info to go on.Was the
system originally working with one disk drive, and now your
putting in an additional drive,or replacing the original
disk drive?.Any other IDE devices in the system other than
a cd-rom (must have that i'm sure).
