I purchased a computer at garage sale. Owner had trashed
the hard drive. Rather than trying to fix the hard drive he
bought a new computer. The computer came with a several
disks. Win 98 home essentials 98 and money 98. I formated
the hard drive and loaded win 98 until I got to the product
Key screen. I don't have a Certificate of Authenticity and
the former owner has pitched everything but the disks he
gave me with the computer. Win 98 won't run without the
product key code. How do I get one?

US customers can contact Microsoft at: 1 800 642-7676. They will issue
retail and OEM product keys after verifying data located on the W98 CD.
