win98 boot disk

can someone tell me where i can get a win98 boot disk? i
am trying to load win 98 but am having problems. i
formatted the hard drive. i have a acer cd rom but do i
have to install the drivers for that cd rom first so i can
load win98 from the disk? if so, how do i do it? and of
corse when the system boots up it detects the drive but i
cant install win98 cause no driver for the cd rom. just
someone explaine to me how to load win98 back on my
machine please. this is making me go crazy. thanks to
whoever can assist me with this. please e-mail me with
instructions.  thank you,

I don't do email support and you really should not ask for it.  When a
response is posted in the newsgroup, a lot of people are going to review it
and make sure that the answer is correct or at least that it will not do any
harm to your PC.  When you get an email, no one can review it to ensure it
has good information.  Finally, when you use a valid email address in a
public newsgroup, chances are you are going to get tons of spam and emails
with a virus attached.

sorry i did not know. i dont think my pc can have anymore

Make the boot disk per the information provided in my instructions.  If the
boot disk doesn't work with the generic drivers, there are instructions on
how to alter the disk to include specific drivers.

That's exactly what I had to do with this old Packard Bell Ron.  The drivers
provided on the W98 boot disk didn't have the necessary CD-ROM drivers.  I
had to d/l  the drivers off the web, and add them to the floppy, then modify
CONFIG.SYS.
