Hi Paul,
The reason Scandisk is telling you yo run it in Windows is because the DOS
version that is running at boot-up cannot handle Long File Names.
Re-boot your computer, and when Scandisk starts to run hit the X key to exit
Scandisk, and let Windows boot. Now run Scandisk within Windows. Let us
know if that works.
