Hi folks,   have managed to mess up my machine......the current symptom that
has me stymied is that when booting it partially closes down with an error
message leaving me with the windows background image but no desktop icons and
no tool bar.....so I can't do anything further....can't get to Start or
Programs or Explorer....

This also happens in safe mode.

get an error message that Explorer caused a page fault in module
Explorer.exe at 0167:00401f31  and then alot of other raw datastuff to long
to copy here...

when I do copy/alt/delete to pull up task manager - nothing is running at
all....and I am dead in the water....

have recopied SYS from startup disk....and done scanreg/restore.....still
stuck here

ay carumba.....

Please post the *exact* error message(s) and what was going on when it/they
appeared.  If there is a details button, click it and post that message
verbatim--the registers are not required.
