cd reading disk incorrectly

When i put any cd game or text into my d drive my computer
windows 98 reads the disk as an Audio CD and of course it
will not work

What do i do

I've got the same problem with my DVD (CDROM) drive. I've
also posted it as a problem as well. Fingers crossed!

Here's a solution that worked with me.
Right click My Computer, properties and then select the
Device manager tab. Expand the CDROM section and select
your CDROM, right click, then properties, then the
settings tab. You'll find a box labled DMA. Make sure the
tick is removed and OK out of it. Reboot them try again.
