display is not full screen

My Windows 98 SE desktop is small!! Just a small square
about 6 inches by 5 inches. Anyone know how to fix this.
It is an IBM Thinkpad 600. Thanks

Change the resolution higher OR lower. Laptops
automatically scale the amount of the screen they use.
Control Panel > Display > Settings
