I tried to reformat my hard drive, and re-install
windows. When it came to entering the product key, I
realized I screwed up, because in cleaning up, I file all
CD's in envelopes to save space.  I normally save the
keys where necessary, but I can't find this one.  Any way
around this?

Try calling Microsoft at Microsoft at:  1 800 642-7676.
They will provide a new number after verifying the data on your CD.
