Hi everyone,
I need some help here.  A friend brought her gateway computer to my place to
see if I could fix it and when I start it up it asks me for the product key.
I had put the product key in it that she had found and it turned out to be
the wrong one even though it let me do it.  I need to go back in and edit it
and put the correct one in.  I had come across somewhere in how to do it but
I cant find the info on it now.  Does anyone know how I would go to the edit
area for this?  The computer is a gateway with windows 98 on it.   Thanks.

Start menu, run, type:  regedit         and click OK.  On the registry
editor, click on Edit and Find and search for the first five digits of the
wrong product key.  When found, right click the key and select modify.
