Windows 98.
The resolution has been set so high that
the monitor cannot support it (and a TFT
monitor reports that it does not support
VGA mode, so that is no help).
This means that in Windows mode, there is
no display, so that display properties are
not easily fixed.
Attempting to interrupt booting to get into
DOS or Bios or anything else pre-Windows
has not worked -- it just continues booting
into Windows (Packard Bell btw).
So, how can I interrupt the boot process and
how can I then fix the display properties?

OK -- a web search reveals how to get into
safe mode. But from there, how do I change
the display properties?
