Please help me! I have accidently trashed something on my
computer that runs thr graphics because it comes up giving
me the message that would like to look for a driver for
this. My display has changed radically, evrything looks
very computerish. Dont tell me to look in the trash as I
have already emptied it. I was trying toget rid of
programs I may not need to get more space. Do I need the
windows 98 disk to fix this? or can i hook up to the
internet and get you to send me what I need. The big
problem is I do not know what I need. Thanks Jae

You need to reinstall your video card drivers.  To do this, you need to know
the exact make and model of your video card in order to install the
correct/updated video card drivers.

There are several ways to determine what kind of video card you have.

1. Check the documentation that came with your PC.

2. You can open your PC tower and look at the video card and note the name
and numbers printed on it.

3. You can download and run this program.  It might be able to determine
what kind of video card you have.

AIDA32 - Enterprise System Information  (download the .exe file - it has a
self installer).

http://www.aida32.hu/aida-download.php?bit=32

It will tell you a lot about what's inside your PC.  In addition to telling
us the *Brand and Model Number* of your computer, please post back the
information Aida32 reports for your:

Motherboard

CPU

Chipset

Display PCI/AGP Video

Display GPU

This information will assist us in finding the correct video drivers, and
directing you to the video card manufacturer's website so you can download
and install them.

If you wish, you can also use this link to get to these posts through
Outlook Express by copying and pasting it into your Internet Explorer
Address Window:

It will make it much easier for you to find and keep track of your posts and
the responses to them.
