Has anyone else had this problem? I just installed Norton
Antivirus, and now I cannot access many of the programs on
my computer via the icon on the desktop.(Their manual said
to put the disc in the disc drive and restart the
computer -- unfortunately, they did not say that it would
automatically go into 'recovery mode')

It keeps giving me error messages that it cannot find
SirC32.exe, and then it tells me that this program is
needed to open files of type "LGC" -- which unfortunately
must include msn, my scanner, my iomega software, my
quicken software, and my ms office software!  Does anyone
know how to fix this?

I've been on hold for tech support for 1.5 hours (and I'm
paying the $35.00 charge!!)

Would appreciate help from someone who knows what to do
about this, and can explain it in plain English.

Thanks!
Mary

The reason for the expense is to compensate the patience of tech support
personnel for users not familiar how to implement their published fix.
