Fatal Excepion OE

When running Norton's speed disk my system crashes and the
following message is noted: Windows, The fatal exception
OE has occured at 0028:C004AA79 in VXD VFAT(1) +00008AA1.
The current application will be terminated. Can any one
give a clue as to what steps I can take to address and
repair this problem?

You must make sure that nothing else is running when doing
a speed disk. Close all programs from your task bar. Try
that.
