Win98 Crashing After Norton 2001

Wondering if any of you have encountered a Win98 system crashing after
installing Norton AV 2001 or 2002. I installed it but when you try
to open it up to configure some settings I get the blue screen. I don't
have the error msg right now but will get it if needed. Thanks in advance
for any help!

This is not uncommon. Dump NAV and install
AVG Anti-Virus http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_dwnl_free.php
It's free, and remember to update it.
