I have an IBM laptop that went to sleep and never woke
up!  I continue to get I9990301 error (no start up device).
I am able to boot with rescue disk, but when trying fdisk,
I get an error:  Error reading fixed disk
Any suggestions???
Please help!

Get a comprehensive disk drive diagnostic program from the manufacturer and
run it to identify the cause of the problem and propose possible solutions.

Access BIOS setup and make sure the hard drive is correctly identified.
