I have created a partition on my C drive, turning my 10 G
to 1.9G. I am awake i must repartition by deleting the
existng one and re creating, But one question is : Will
all my precious data in my master ( C:) be gone anyway, if
i convert to FAT32. and Do i need to format after that re-
partion? To think that format causes data lost. ANy other
way to preserve or transfer my data out first?

PS: I have a 2nd drive, I have install OS and currently
running as my master, cos that 1 G couldnt be accessed.

Using FDISK to delete and re-create partitions will result in all data being
lost from the partitions.   You have to format a partition before Windows
can use it.

Partition Magic (Powerquest), Partition Resizer and BootitNG can all change
partition sizes without disturbing data, but it's always a good idea to do a
backup before undertaking any major project.

Deleting a partition will destroy all data on it. Merely changing the
file system of a partition from FAT16 to FAT32 will not lose data (but
it's always a good idea to back up important data before doing
something like this).

Third party applications like Partition Magic
(http://www.powerquest.com) can resize partitions without losing data,
as well as switching file systems back and forth without losing data.
Nothing that comes with Windows can do that.
