trying to format and recover win98[after compresssed]

my system has compressed files and now i am having lots of
problems with recovering or even getting all proper
drivers tio install.every time i try recov and format it
goes about 75% of the way and just stops
downloading .perhaps memory getting full but i have75%
pwerformance and 63 of 64 mbs leftin memory.a little green
please help

Your keyboard is also faulty, as it has lost all capital letters.

You will need to explain what you are doing and what is happening.  It seems
that you are trying to reinstall Windows - why?   What are the steps in the
procedure you are following, and exactly where does it stop?  For instance,
you say that you are formatting and that it stops at about 75%, then you say
it stops downloading; but if the formatting stopped then you couldn't even
start downloading.
