I used to have windows 98 s.e and I upgraded it to windows
2000. the installation was succesful but my memory has
been decreased. i used to have 5.0 GB but it's now 2.31GB.
Could any one help me retrieve the memory back?

I think you are referring to disk space, not memory.

You should ask Windows 2000 questions in a Windows 2000 newsgroup.

Do Start / Settings / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Computer
Management / Storage / Disk Management.  What are the details (in full) for
the C: drive?
