path cannot find?

Turning on computer to start windows 98 and prompts
\windows\IFSHLP.sys\vmm32.vxd reads and states that
cannot find this path.

Boot to your emergency startup floppy and look for this file on the hard
drive.  Confirm that you can access the hard drive and that files and
folders appear to be intact and accessible.
