My system crashed about three days ago.  I was able to
restore some drivers and get on the net and do email, but
am unable to restore any other programs or additional
hardware.  There are just too many mmsystem.dll and
kernel32.dll errors to get anything else installed.  I
checked the hardware and all performs optimally.   So, I
am going to have to repartition my HD and reinstall
Windows.  This is something that I have little knowledge
of and cringe at the thought of doing myself.

I have a Dell Dimensions L series and Dell has provided me
27 pages of step by step instructions on how to
repartition, but so far, nothing that Dell has told me to
do has worked as they say it should.  Can someone
recommend a repartitioning program that will work for my
fat32 drive and is reasonably priced?

you do *not* have to repartition the drive to re-install windows

to wipe out *all* data and do a fresh install, all you have to do is format
the drive

before you do that...be sure you have all necessary drivers and that all
your
data is back up.
