When I try to compress my drive with DriveSpace, it stops
in the middle of the scan for disk errors and tells me I
have disk errors. Then it tells me to run ScanDisk on
Thourough and I do all of the stuff it tells me to do and
yet, I then find that ScanDisk says that I have no errors
on my drive. So, I try again and I get no change. So
essentially, why can't I compress my (C) Drive?

Just for the heck of it...try running scan disk from "real" dos.

BTW: I would highly recommend *against* compressing your drive...
if you ever have a bad shutdown, you could loose your entire system...
not only that, if there are even minor drive problems...your chance for a
major
error are much increased!
