Changed out my 8gb drive for a new 20gb
drive. I transfered all of the file to
the new hard drive. everthing seems to be
working "OK", no error message that I can see.
Checking with windows explorer I can only see
up to drive "J" which means 1 cd-rom and 1 usb
card reader (which should be drives k and l) I
don't see and they don't work. Checked in
device manager, I see both the cd-rom and the
card reader. also checked the settings in device
manager for the cd-rom and it shows "no drive
letter assign". Any help or ideas to correct
this problem will be appreciated.

1.  Do you have Tweak UI installed?  If so, go to My Computer tab and
put marks in all drives.

2.  Check for a lastdrive statement in the config.sys file and if it
exists, make sure it reads:  lastdrive=z

3.  Run regedit.exe and open it to this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup

In the right pane, look for a last drive statement and make sure it
reads "Z"

4.  Control panel, system, performance tab:  is there any comment about
MSDos compatibility mode?
