I have a HD(with win 98) with all my information, but i think that my HD
lost the partition table, because i only can see trash and 1GB,and my HD is
6Gb.
All begins when I put another HD in the same pc trying to back up files, but
the new HD was not detected by the BIOS, so i quit the HD that i put and
when i restart my pc can not boot. so i used a boot disk to check my disk
and ooooo sorprise!!! it only sees 1G and even scandisk could repair mi
HD...iam sure that my HD wasn?t formated, I just turn off my pc, and when I
start it, my information was not found.

Do you know a software that recovers partition tables without erase files???
Or have another idea??

If the other hard disk drive was not properly recognised, then perhaps the
BIOS also has a problem in resetting itself to the correct configuration for
the original hard disk.  Access BIOS setup and make sure the hard disk drive
settings are correct for the way that this drive was initially configured.
It is very important that nothing is allowed to write to the hard disk drive
while it is in this state.

From your description it's hard to tell what exactly is wrong. You can goto
the website in my sig and follow procedures described in the support section
for creating a partinfo. Post the results of that in the forum that you can
also access through the support section.

Regards,
Joep
