Trying to move or copy a file which is more than 2Gbytes,
actually 2,746,461 Kbytes and get this error and no
move is performed - both drives are Fat32, I get this
dialog box with only an 'OK' to click:-

"Cannot create or Replace filename: The parameter is
incorrect"

filename is on drive C and its capacity is 30Gbytes
with about 6Gbytes free, destination is drive E on
the same computer and its capacity is 160Gbytes with
about 55Gbyes free, the filename is legal with no
special characters and les than 8 in filename, I
can move it to other folders on same drive no problem
but not to another drive. Trying a dos box with the
move command has the message "Access Denied", yet the
attribute are archive only and no other programs
are active or open, seems like a windows limitation of
some sort ?

Win98se has all critical updates from windows update
and is smaller transfers of around 1.7Gbytes have
gone ok without problem...

Any suggestions ?

Rgds

The file size limit for FAT32 is 4Gb less two bytes, but you may find some
programs, including some Windows functions, have problems with files larger
than 2Gb.  I suspect this is what you are running into.
