I am running Win98.  The computer would not boot up so I
went to a boot disk.  My first step was to scandisk.  I
received an error message saying that the FAT file was not
allowing the scandisk function to be completed.

I would like to know where to go from here.

Thanks,
MIke...

What errors do you get when you try to boot.

Please give the exact messages you receive both when trying to boot and
running scandisk from the floppy.  When you try to boot, describe exactly
what happens.
