My problem is that I downloaded microsoft's new Fdisk to
compinsate for my new maxtor 80gb drive so it can make a
fat32 partition and use all 80gb. Fdisk reads my drive,
finds all 80gb and makes a partition.. so far so good.
but then when i restart and try to format it reads only
12gb's again.. i dont know if i need an updated format as
well but i cant get it formatted over 12gb. If anyone can
help me i would greatly appreciate it. thanks

Continue the format--it should be correct once you are done.
