I want to uninstall Fat 32 because I've been advised not
to use it on my old almost-full computer.  I'm trying to
free up space, but not by compressing disks.  Can anyone
tell me how to safely uninstall Fat 32?

Pllllleeeeeeeeaaaaaasssssseeeeee????????

Thanks!  caysee

You can't uninstall it.  You could convert your disk from FAT32 back to FAT
(FAT16), but only with use of a third-party partition management program.

Reverting to FAT will give you less disk space, so it's possible that your
existing files wouldn't even fit.

I am not aware of any reason for not using FAT32, provided your operating
system supports it.  The age of the machine is irrelevant.  What problems
are you experiencing that you think might be related to the use of FAT32?

fat32 has better cluster size efficiency that fat16
so you do *not* want to go with fat16

what you need to do is get a larger harddrive
or else clear out unneeded data or apps on your present drive

Bad advice. FAT32 makes more efficient use of disk space for most
partitions.
