Hi Everybody,

I have a Windows 98 installed on my computer of (PIII 866 Mhz, 512 ram DDR).
My file system is FAT16.

Now When I want to run some application or want to insall applications on
it, in the middle of the preccess it gives a blue error screen.  For example
When I want to use Nero to copy a CD, it start to copy the source CD to my
Cashe, but suddenly, before finishing the computer restarts or give a blue
error screen.  I investigated and heard that maybe the HD is damaged, so  I
changed the HD, and now I hear again that it might be the RAM which has athe
problem.

I just wanted to know if anybody had similar problem, of anybody knows that
the problem might be the RAM, Please let me know.  Mind you that I have do
not have any WIN98 updates or SP's added.

Please......  Help,

James

The blue screen should display some information describing the cause of the
crash. If you can find what that information is then that may assist in
identifying the cause.

OTOH you may have a random hardware problem, such as memory failure or power
supply glitch. Overheating is a common cause of both - check that all your
fans are working and the case is free of dust and all the vents are clear.
