Dear Sir/Mdn.,

I have just bought the upgrading Windows XP version to
upgrade current windows 98 version. I facing the following
problems that I couldn't proceed to upgrade to windows XP.

SYS DLL: Synator error in manitest or policy
file "C:$WIN_NT$.~LSI386asms@0MSFTWINDOWSGDIPLUS.MAN" ON
LINE 4.

Error: Installation Failed. C:$WIN_NT$.~LSI386ASMS. Error
Message: The data is invaild.

A component's file does not match the verification
infomation present in the component manifast.

I did carryout the rectification task for the above
mentioned problems according to the suggestion found on
http://microsoft.com, which copy windows XP I386 to C:
drive, double click winnt32.exe, and then follow the on
screen instruction to install windows XP home edition. But
unfortunally, it wouldn't be able to resolve the above
said problem.

Please advise.

Thank you & regards.

Yap.

This is a Window 98 newsgroup for fat 32 questions--you need an XP newsgroup
for installation problems.
