External 80GB USB HDD Format with Fst32

Hi

I am having 80GB External USB HDD. I want to format this HDD with FAT32. Is
it possible? It yes, can u help me to do this?

Yes, it's possible. Open a DOS box and start FDISK. READ EVERYTHING IT
PRINTS OUT VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE DOING ANYTHING!!! Fdisk can be *very*
destructive, you want to be extremely careful when you use it. (This
being a USB disk, I don't think you'll be able to access it without
being in Windows.)

With FDISK you should be able to create a new FAT32 partition that
covers the entire 80GB disk. (Be sure to answer "Yes" when it asks
about "Large Disk Support.") Then you'll have to reboot the machine.
When it comes back up, a "Drive letter" will be assigned to your new
partition. Use Windows Explorer to navigate to that drive, right-click
it, and choose "Format".

If there's already something on the disk that you want to keep, you'll
probably need third-party software, like Partition Magic or something
similar.

why can't?the windows read it with those format,it's absolutely possible.
