I'm running the older version of Windows 98 and I'm trying
to get IE6 to work with it. When I download and install
IE6 and then restart the computer, it gets to the little
icon Updating system settings (with the drum) and then
hangs. I have to then restart from the control prompt and
do a scanreg/restore to get a good backup of the registry.
I can't find anything on MS site about this. Does anyone
know about it and how to get round it.
Also, I'm scared as when I do the scanreg/restore, it
seems to be saving all the bad registries and the list
only shows those.
