Hello,
Run win98se....IE6.0.....I want to completley uninstall
IE6.0, BUT.  I have no previous version installed so can
not remove it from add/remove....I have been having
problems with IE6.0 for a while. No one can seem to help
me figure out what is wrong. I have found a set up for
IE5.0. Want to use that to see if problems cease. Please
how do I uninstall IE6.0 ?

Thank you,
Destinee

Please advise what 'problems' you are having with IE and we'll see if we can
get them fixed.

>Hi Sandy,
I have posted what these problems are before and nothing
worked, but will tell again.
When I use IE6.0, the first page opens fine, as well as
the second, but when it comes to opening the third page of
a link, it just hangs there.
I can not download windows update from IE..the download
box appears, but nothing happens in the progress bar or
installation bar. It just sits there.
I found a corrupted file in my downloaded programs , a
java thing , deleted that ,, but that did not help either .
I am just tired of messing with it .. would rather get rid
of it and start allover.
Thank you
Destinee

Reinstalling rarely fixes problems.

IE freezes:
http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/answers3.htm#freezing

Checking for spyware:
http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/Darnit.htm

If the embedded script shows you clean of viruses, use the troubleshooting
advice further down the page anyway to manually check for new/undetected
problems.

Or, you may simply have a corrupt cache. Create a new one as per the URL
below:

Or, this may be the problem:
