Hello,
I have Comcast Highspeed Internet. My dad has the cable
modem and a router which I am connected to. So he and I
share the connection.
On and off for the last few weeks I've had this odd
problem with my cable connection, or so it seems. Any time
I click on anything, chances are I will get the error
message "The page cannot be displayed". Sometimes if I
keep at it long enough (hit the back button and click
again, many, many times) I can access a page. It doesn't
matter what page I want to go to. It happens on all sites,
including when I click my IE icon to go to my starting
page. It's so frustrating. My Weatherbug also experiences
the problem.
Right now I'm on my dad's computer because I can't access
anything on my own. Monday night I was online and suddenly
everything became normal! But it didn't last. But there
have been times when I've gone several days with no
problem!
My dad tells me he's had the problem too, but obviously
it's okay right now. He also called Comcast, but they said
everything was fine.
Oh, one other thing, my Yahoo messenger is unaffected by
this. How much sense does that make???
So anyone have any ideas what is wrong here? Please help.
Thanks,
Barry

Have you contacted the manufacturer of the router? They
would probably be of more help.

Well that was my first guess, but the router has 5
computers running off it, and mine is the only one with a
problem. (I'm using one of those other computers now.)
