Browsing Problem

Hello Readers.

My problem is simply that I cannot browse using IE 5.0. My PC has a
direct connection with my cable modem. I get a valid ip address from my
ISP. I can ping websites using IP addresses but not FQDN. I am running
Win98SE. Oh one more thing IE does not open website using IP addresses
either.

Probably an aberrant HOSTS file...
