Operating a PCTel platinum modem on Win98.  The system
says the modem is operating properly, however, when I try
to connect to the I'net to install ISP I get the
message "Can't start dialing" in a box headed Problem
Start Dialing.0...Can anyone tell me what this is and what
to do to correct it?  Hardware support says it is ISP and
ISP says it is hardware.
Thank you,

BobW, I was wondering if you (or anyone) ever found a fix for this
problem.  I am setting up an old computer for my young children to use
and am getting this same problem.  Thanks.
