Hello, Whenever I open explorer to a page such as yahoo or
msn.com, IE 6.0 closes. The error just says internet
explorer ghas encountered problems & will close. This PC
is a 98 workstation. I haver tried adjusting the display
setings and installed available updates from windows
update. AOL was previously used as an ISP (had many
problems and repair shop recommended I replace the modem
but this didnt work).
Now I am using broadband. Any ideas on troubleshooting
this problem?
Thanks,

First, disable the error reporting tool:

Then, when your system crashes again provide the following details (click on
the details button):

xxx caused an xxx in xxx at xxx:xxxx

I went to the site recommended to remove the internet
explorer reporting tool. In the instructions it stated to
create a dword value & set it to 0. The problem is, I dont
know what a dword value is??
