Conflict between YM and IE

I am using WinXP. When I use YahooMessenger, my IE doesn't work and when I
use Internet Explorer, My YM doesn't work. Do you have any ideas about it?

Define 'doesn't work.

I'm confused. In one message you say you are using XP, in the next you say
you are using Win98, in the next you say you are using XP....
